IRDCC Members also take advantage of indoor spin classes or personal bike trainers or rollers at home.  Some of the benefits of indoor spinning are:

  • No stopping or coasting, no traffic no downhills, so you can get a much more focused nonstop workout;

  • It’s easier to do high intensity intervals- you can just pedal hard without worrying about cars or dangerous sections of road;

  • It takes less time;

  • You can quit at exactly the right time.

For the safety of our Memberss -

ALL TRAINING RIDES are cancelled due to COVID 19 until further notice .

IRDCC Ride Leaders and Trainers put together a series of Training Rides and activities that gradually progress our novice  members during the off season to help develop a more confident and efficient cyclist.  Weather permitting, Training Rides will be held on Saturday Mornings starting in February.  Many members are currently getting together during the weekday to train together as well.  Specific information regarding time, location and ride details will be provided on our FB Members Page.  We encourage  our members to take advantage of these awesome training modules - that will prepare new riders to confidently ride 30+ miles at a comfortable pace.  

 March - October TRAINING RIDES ARE CLOSED TO REGISTERED MEMBERS ONLY.

IRDCC Members may bring a guest (with a signed waiver) and are encouraged to join in on the multiple weekday training ride opportunities.
